Paternity Test

Find Clarity Through DNA Testing

Your relationship with your child is personal, and when questions about biological paternity arise, reliable information helps you move forward. The Camtech Health Paternity Test is an at-home paternity test available only in Singapore. You collect cheek swabs from the child and the tested man, return them, and DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC), a US laboratory, analyses the samples. Results are typically ready around three weeks after you post your sample. Your report states whether the tested man is or is not the biological father, along with a probability of paternity. This is a non-clinical test intended for personal and informational use.1

Understand What a Paternity Test Can Tell You

A paternity test compares genetic information from the tested individuals to assess whether the findings support a biological father-child relationship. Kinship testing of this kind is designed to answer one specific question about how two people are related; it does not assess anyone’s general health and it does not determine a person’s legal status.2

Your result can help you:

  • Understand whether the tested man is the child’s biological father
  • Approach a sensitive family question with greater clarity
  • Prepare for an informed, private conversation with the people involved
  • Decide whether you need further medical, legal or official guidance

A paternity result is one piece of information about a family situation. Consider the emotional, privacy and consent implications before testing, and seek professional advice if your circumstances involve medical, legal or safeguarding concerns.

Who Is This Test For?

The test is designed for men who want personal and informational evidence about whether they are the biological father of a child. It may suit you if you are seeking clarity for family planning, want to understand a possible father-child relationship, or would like a scientific result to inform a private conversation. If the result may be used in a formal process, obtain advice before testing so you understand what type of collection and documentation is required.

How the Test Works

  1. Order and receive your kit

The Paternity Test is available only in Singapore. We send the kit to you so you can organise the collection process in a private setting.

  2. Read the instructions before collecting

Check the kit contents and follow the supplied instructions carefully for each person included in the test.

  3. Collect the samples at home

Use the supplied cheek swabs to collect samples from the child and the tested man, following the instructions carefully. The process is simple and non-invasive.

  4. Return your samples

Place the collected samples in the provided packaging and return them for analysis. DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC), a US laboratory, processes the samples and prepares your report.

Your Results, and How to Use Them

Your report gives a clear conclusion for the samples tested, along with a probability of paternity. Read the conclusion and the probability together.

  • Inclusion — The genetic findings support a biological father-child relationship. The report shows a high probability of paternity and states that the tested man is “not excluded as the biological father”. The sample report supplied for this product records a probability of 99.998%.
  • Exclusion — The genetic findings do not support a biological father-child relationship, and the report states that the tested man is not the biological father.
  • What the result does not tell you — The report concerns only the relationship between the people tested. It does not assess anyone’s health, it does not identify any other possible father, and it does not change anyone’s legal status.

Because this is an at-home test without witnessed collection or identity verification, the result is not intended for court, immigration, custody or support matters. Formal processes generally require a witnessed, identity-verified, chain-of-custody test carried out by an accredited laboratory, and a result that does not meet those requirements may not be accepted.3,4 If your result may be used in a formal process, seek qualified advice before ordering.

Why Choose the Camtech Health Paternity Test?

  • At-home collection — complete the sample-collection process in the comfort of your own home
  • Accredited laboratory analysis — your returned samples are analysed by DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC), a US laboratory
  • Clear report — an easy-to-read report with a probability of paternity

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a paternity test?

A paternity test compares DNA from a child and a tested man to assess whether the findings support a biological father-child relationship. Tests of this type are described as kinship tests, and the Camtech Health test is an at-home option for personal and informational use.2

Who needs to provide a sample?

The standard personal test compares samples from the child and the tested man. Everyone tested must consent to the test; where the child is a minor, consent must be given by the child’s parent or legal guardian. Make sure the required consent is in place before collecting or submitting any sample.

Is this test available outside Singapore?

No. The Paternity Test is available only in Singapore.

How accurate is the test?

Your report states whether the tested man is or is not the biological father, along with a probability of paternity. The sample report supplied for this product records a probability of 99.998%. Follow the collection and return instructions carefully so the laboratory receives suitable samples for analysis.

Can I use this result for legal or official purposes?

This at-home test is intended for personal and informational use and is not a witnessed or identity-verified legal service. Where a DNA result is used in a formal process, an accredited laboratory and a documented chain of custody are normally required, and a result obtained outside that process may not be accepted.3,4 If you need a result for court, immigration, custody, support or another official purpose, seek advice before ordering and confirm whether a witnessed, identity-verified, chain-of-custody test is required.

How long will my results take?

Typically around three weeks after you post your sample.
