Your personalised report is typically available around three weeks after we receive your returned sample. It shows whether the selected genetic variations are associated with a higher or lower predisposition to the allergy-related traits included in the test, not a verdict on whether you currently have an allergy. A lower predisposition does not rule an allergy out, either.

What is an allergy DNA test?

What sample do I need to provide?
A saliva sample collected at home by following the instructions supplied with your kit.
Can the test tell me exactly what I'm allergic to?
No. It reports genetic tendencies associated with selected traits; it cannot confirm or rule out an allergy to a specific substance. If you think you have a specific allergy, speak with a healthcare professional. Clinical assessment may consider your symptoms and medical history and, where appropriate, tests such as a skin-prick test or an immunoglobulin E (IgE) blood test.2,3
Is this a clinical allergy test?
No. It is a genetic wellness test, not a clinical allergy screening or diagnostic test.
Is an allergy the same as a food intolerance?
No. An allergy involves an immune response, while intolerance can have other causes. This test should not be used to diagnose either.
How long will my results take?
Your personalised report is typically available around three weeks after we receive your returned sample.
What should I do if I think I am having a serious allergic reaction?
Seek urgent medical attention. This genetic wellness test is not for emergencies and should not be used to assess or manage a serious allergic reaction.2
